The Yaesu Scu-17 is an interface for execution with digital operating modes for almost all current Yaesu transceivers. The Scu-17 works as a USB sound card, so only a USB cable is needed between the interface and the computer. The interface isolates all the signs galvanically to avoid potential earth loops. In this way the audio-in and audio exit, cat ptt, fsk signals and are transmitted. The key signals are separated from opto-insulating, the audio mating audio signals. {

naturally, with self-made cables it is possible to connect practically all the other transceivers, of other producers.  the configuration of the PIN of the interface of Sc-17 is specified correctly in the user manual.

The Scu-17 is protected by a metal box to avoid hf's irradiation problems. There are two control knobs on the front panel for NF-Lavelli (input, output). In this way the modulation level is regulated in a few seconds without having to waste time with the computer's sound card dialog. In addition, the front panel has three LEDs that display the state of 'power', 'ptt' and 'fsk'. The SC-17 uses the USB port as a power supply. {

The shipment already includes several cables, which simplifies the use with the current Yaesu transceivers. Some models require an optional cable. The Scu-17 is designed so that even transceivers with a classic RS-232 interface can also be connected to modern computers via USB. {
