The Windom antenna is a dipole where the balun is not in the center but slightly offset. In some cases, this allows for a more favorable suspension and shorter feed line (less weight!) because the balun is closer to the house.
The Windom antenna can only be used for bands that are in harmony with each other, i.e. for 160/80/40/20/17/12/10m. The lowest (longest) band is determined by the length of the antenna. The SWR is good for all bands, a tuner is usually not needed. Due to the high impedance of the foot, a 1:6 balun with PL socket is used. Construction with tensile steel wire with transparent plastic sheath. Maximum permitted transmission power: 200 or 1000 W.
Bands 40, 20, 17, 12, 10 m
