Kelemen new generation trapped dipole

Kelemen antennas are wire antennas with traps made of Teflon insulated coaxial cable. 

Properties of Teflon (PTFE) insulated traps:

• resistant to solvents such as acids and alkalis
• non-flammable (resistant to temperatures from -90° to +260°C)
• high arc resistance
• ozone resistant
• resistance to water infiltration
• low permeability to water vapor (0.31 mg/cm3 for 24h)
• does not melt (high temperature resistance)
• unlimited life, weatherproof
• small space requirements at high voltages

Coaxial traps are very light compared to traditional traps, allowing a better average height above ground. Many portable operations prefer these lightweight antennas because a simple fiberglass pole is often sufficient to raise the antenna. The special traps of the Kelemen antennas have a high Q and therefore low losses. All baluns come with a lug for installation.

Kelemen antennas are made of high quality materials. All cast iron parts are milled from weatherproof polycarbonate; all hardware such as screws, washers, nuts and clamps are made of stainless steel. Our baluns have a bolt-on clear polycarbonate case and are not filled with insulating plastic like other baluns.This makes the production of these baluns much more expensive, also because we still have to make the baluns weatherproof, but this method has a clear advantage: in the event of an "accident" you can repair the balun yourself. And it is much lighter than other conventional baluns.

Included in delivery: Ready-to-use antenna incl. balun with PL socket and incl. insulators.

Kelemen antennas are made for power loads from 200 to 2000 watts, depending on the model, see table.
