The AL-705 is a small and light magnetic ring antenna for 7-30 MHz. It has been designed for the ICOM IC-705, but it also works with any other radio. Ideal for radio amateurs with space problems but also for going on vacation or hiking. This very light ring antenna can be mounted without tools in a few steps and can be tuned quickly and precisely using the variable condenser integrated in the base. The radio tool acts as a SWR meter. {
Like any ring antenna, the AL-705 is very narrow and not sensitive to the signals outside the band, therefore it behaves almost like a pre-selector. The antenna is completely independent of radial or earth, and can be installed everywhere and at any time, for example on a camping chair. To keep the resistance of loops very critically, the connectors are designed as solid and short -circuited PL sockets inside, so that the screen acts as a thick conductor. {
