do you have too much qm / qrn at home? But do you have access to a distant area that is quiet (as regards the radio)? Why not put your station there? Or check your radio in the attic from the computer to the cellar via your local network. Both are possible with ICOM RS-BA1 remote control software. Or let other operators use the club station when it is inactive ...
The ICOM RS-BA1 software is made up of two parts, a so-called "server" part and a "client" part. The server is used on a computer on the remote site, where the transceiver is located. Somewhere else you have another computer that performs the client software. Both computers are connected on a network, a local (LAN) or Internet network. Imagine your remote station located everywhere in the world, controlled on the internet! {
{
The RS-BA1 software supports the following icom transceivers:
IC-7850/7851 (via USB cable or ethernet)
IC-7800 (via audio / cat interface)
{IC-7700 (via audio / cat interface)
IC-7610 (via USB cable)
{IC-7600 (via USB cable)
{IC-7410 (via USB cable)
{IC-7300 (via USB cable)
{IC-7200 (via USB cable)
{IC-9100 (via USB cable)
{IC-756PROI A III (via audio / cat interface, with some limitations)
{IC-746PRO / IC-7400 (via audio / cat interface, with some limitations)
{For operation, the transceiver must be connected to the computer server. Those icom transceivers with USB interface require only the USB cable supplied. Other transceivers require an audio / cat interface to connect audio and cat data with galvanic insulation. In principle, any interface for audio cards will work,Like our SB-200, USB-2, USB-3, Digikeyer Microkeyer and many others. The operation is also possible with the old ICOM transceivers, but only with very limited possibilities (only frequency control and methods, nothing else).
