The ACOM 2100 guarantees a maximum power of 1500W both in HF and in the 6m band. The amplifier is equipped with a powerful 4CX1000 tube. With the help of the tuning indicator (TRI), designed by ACOM, tuning the amplifier becomes extremely simple and usually only takes a few seconds to complete correctly. The output circuit can handle antenna mismatches up to SWR values ​​greater than 3:1. For this reason, bulky and expensive external antenna tuners that have to manage high powers will no longer be necessary.
The construction of the ACOM 2100 is very robust and has been oriented towards maximum protection criteria. Numerous protection circuits have been used to guarantee operation without any type of problem for several years. The amplifier has been designed to withstand reflected powers of over 400W. It can handle power peaks generated by recent transceivers (spikes) as well as short drops in mains voltage. All this makes this amplifier particularly suitable for use during Dx-pedition or field-days.
The display offers an easy read of the power level emitted and errors that may occur during use. To facilitate diagnosis of the last 7 errors, they will be stored in the amplifier's non-volatile memory. The various LEDs on the front show the status of the amplifier, the OPERATE mode, the insertion of the attenuator and the selected antenna. The amplifier is in fact equipped with three antenna outputs which can be selected with the simple press of a button on the front panel. Various protection systems guarantee safe operation; While you operate, the amplifier maintains constant control over variations in plate and grid voltages, their respective currents, as well as reflected power and cooling air temperature.
The input circuit has been specially designed wide bandwidth to offer a constant impedance of 50ohm towards the transceiver, on any range used.
