Multimode IP RADIO DMR/D-Star/C4FM

The dvmega cast is based on a computer with a single card Raspberry PI nano. The both + 2 vocoder is on its own card and is controlled by the computer, using the well-known "P-Star" software hotspot. The network connection can be made via cable (Ethernet) or via Wlan. A touch display shows the operating status and allows control of the P-Star DV hotspot. An additional knob is scheduled for comfortable and fast operation. The configuration is performed via the web interface of the Pi-Star software.

A microphone socket is available on the front panel. Here the developer provided a thunder connector compatible with Yaesu, for example for MH-48A6J, where you can also use DTMF keys. In addition, a 3 W audio amplifier is integrated, the front speaker offers good fidelity of the decoded NF. Alternatively, it is also possible to connect the headphones.

A special feature of Dvmega Cast is the possibility of recording the device with the developer. In addition to an e-mail address and the serial number of the device, no personal data are registered. With registration, the updating procedure of the Pi-Star software used is much simpler,The operator receives information in time, as soon as a new version is available. However, the operation is also possible without registration. In addition to the control of the version, no other data is transmitted to the manufacturer.
