• The ARS-USB interface Rotator allows the controlled operation from the computer of an antenna rotator. The interface is connected to the computer with a single USB cable (included). The drivers (supplied) simulate a Virual serial port (COM Porta) that can be used with monitoring almost any satellite or competition software. { {

• thanks to the flexible design of the interface hardware, the ARS-USB can be used with almost all rotators. Roofs are supported with and without brake. The ARS-USB interface is for Azimut only roundabouts, the ARS-USB-EL model is used for Azimut / elevation rotating (satellite roundabouts). The connection of the cable from the rotator control unit to the interface must be made by the user. This requires the connection of all the necessary signals (left / right, high / bass, the location and earth) from the control unit to the Ars-USB interface. • The Ars-USB interface is provided in a solid metal case. A dicplay LC on the front shows the current position and other state information. With 2 (Ars-USB) or 4 buttons (Ars-USB-EL) the position of Azimut and elevation can be controlled manually. The Ars-USB interface uses a microcontroller that can be loaded with the program updates via the USB cable when requested. { {
• the USB driver installs a (simulated) virtual serial port (com) of the computer. This method of control of a rotatore is used by almost all software on the market, if the satellite or competition software programs. The protocol (the commands) used by Ars-USB is the same used by Yaesu, so that any Yaesu rotator collateral program can be used with the Ars-USB. But the interface can also be checked to draw up the commands with a simple terminal program such as Hypeterterm. This is very useful for tests and calibration. Before using the interface, it must be calibrated to the Rotatore.
• The ARSVCOM software included (for Windows) allows a computer control independently from any other satellite or competition program. This software is also used for calibration. The Arsvcom program can be used simultaneously as another rotator control program.
